The Duluth Lakewalk has seen a major redo since 2018.
In 2017-2018 the Lakewalk was damaged by high waves. Since then, the City of Duluth has done a great job redoing the lakefront which is part of the Canal Park area. It now consists of all new trail, and an entire natural rock wave break.
The new trail is nice for running and walking, and is very heavily traveled along the route from the lift bridge all the way through to the top of the dreaded Lemon Drop Hill to the north along about 3 miles of lakefront.
